Cooking together last week was such a success that we decided to make it our weekly routine. It’s something fun that we can do together, Plus, I caught a little bit of MasterChef Kids on TV last week and realized that those kids’ parents have a really good thing going. Imagine having a 12-year-old that can whip up some beef wellington all on his own!
Sam was given a kids cookbook last year, so we sat down with it together to plan our menu. Of course, he picked a dessert. A dessert that involved intricate decorations. I’m not much of a baker, but I decided to try it out. Sam mixed up the ingredients to make the cupcakes, and then we later sculpted the bees out of marzipan. The bees wings are sliced almonds, and their faces and stripes are made of chocolate.
Notice that one of the bees is really big. It’s the queen bee.
