We took a trip to Michael’s a few months ago to build a collection of crafts for Sam to do at home. One was a wooden alligator toy. Sam enjoyed painting it yesterday. He was very proud of it. When Dave came home, 6 hours after the project was finished, Sam ran to pick up the alligator and held it up, saying “Daddy, look! I painted the alligator!”
It was a good day, especially since Sam had a good dream at nap time. What do toddlers dream about? Cookies!
The day ended with Sam gorging himself on blackberries. Dave came with us to pick blackberries, which resulted in a big bowl full of them.
What a good mommy you are!!! He looks like he’s having so much fun and you are quite brave with all that paint everywhere! Caleb likes to paint but he doesn’t like to be dirty so he is constantly running to and from from the bathroom to wash his hands when they get paint on them. Quite interesting! I can’t wait to spend time with Sam next summer.
Thanks Natalie! The paint washes off easily, and he actually didn’t get any paint on that shirt. The shirt was something he painted at school!
