Scene: the trail
Sam: Mommy, take off your sweater
Emily: No, there are mosquitos
Sam: Take off your sweater!
Emily takes of her sweater
Dave: Sucker…
Sam, running away: Sucker! Sucker!

This is amazing. I love this kid.
It should be noted that Emily remembers the conversation differently. At the very least, I’m willing to acknowledge that there might have been some coaching as to the existence of the word “sucker” from the other parent.
Hmmmm … I wonder where he learned to say that Toooonnyyy! 🙂 Hahaha, too funny!

Okay folks – it is true that I took a little creative license on this one, though it’s also true that Emily and I both remember the scene differently. At the very least, I admit that I had omitted my comment that informed Sam of the existence of the word “sucker”. Thus, I submit my amended conversation above. I now consider it the canonical version.
